MUNDANE

      This is a photo of the horizon taken from Tracks Beach. I tried to line up the horizon diagonally with opposite corners symmetrically because I think it helps represent the theme of mundane. I also think the subject itself represents mundane in an ironic way; although beautiful horizons may seem anything but mundane, they are commonplace here in Hawai'i.

                                          STRENGTH

       The subject of this photo is a house of cards that took me two hours to construct. While a house of cards seems weak, the shape of a triangle is strongest structure in the universe. Therefore, this is the most stable structure that could be possibly built out of cards.
